Sonya Crawford Bearson is the director of communications for Lionshare, a ministry focused on envisioning and equipping Christians to disciple and mentor fellow believers through relationships and in our vocations. She is a former broadcast journalist who worked as a Washington, D.C.-based correspondent for ABC News, a reporter for NBC Los Angeles and the Orange County News Channel, and as an associate producer for "Dateline NBC" and public radio's "Marketplace Morning Report." She began her career in broadcasting at the age of 16, working for the Korean equivalent of the "Today" show and got the opportunity to report from the first of three Olympics. She went on to attend Stanford University where she was news director of the campus radio station and graduated with a double major in political science and communication. She has served on the boards of the Stanford Alumni Association and the Asian American Journalists Association. Sonya has lived in Northern and Southern California, Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia, Minnesota, Ohio and now in Nashville, Tennessee which is woefully bereft of good Korean food.
